Collection Don Pedersen Collection
Title Don Pedersen Collection
Scope & Content Don Pedersen was faculty with the University of Utah PA program from 1979 and then became program director from 1989-2010. The bulk of the collection is made of materials that were passed on to Pedersen from William Wilson who co-founded the Utah PA program and was director for it in its early years.

The collection consists of William Wilson's materials that he gathered at the early PA meetings held at Duke University, along with notes and correspondence to show that these were for information gathering purposes to help start the Utah PA program, along with information on PA legislation both in Utah and the US at large. Also included are materials from the NCCPA, such as David Glazer's letter informing of the NCCPA offices opening in Georgia, meeting materials for NCCPA's Recertification and Continuing Competence Committees, along with brochures and pamphlets promoting Utah's PA program and PA profession as a whole.
Admin/Biographical History Collection was donated by Dr. Don Pedersen who was part of the faculty for the Utah Physician Assistant Program since 1979 and then program director from 1989 until 2010. The bulk of the collection was inherited to Dr. Pedersen from University of Utah's previous (and first) director, Bill Wilson.
