Vicki Chan-Padgett was the program director of the Air Force PA Program at the time of IPAP's inception. She was also part of the Interservice Training and Review Organization (ITRO) for the Air Force. She started off as a nursing major before quitting to join the Air Force as a medic in 1973. She then became interested in the PA profession. She is an alumni of the Air Force PA Program and graduated in 1982.
She talks about how she became interested in the PA profession, her years as an Air Force PA Program instructor and then director, being involved with ITRO, the issues that had to be dealt with before the IPAP could be launched, and developing the IPAP curriculum.
