Title Report of the Medical Delegation to the People's Republic of China

Summary This report describes a visit made to the People's Republic of China by a medical delegation from the United States from June 15 to July 6, 1973. The itinerary for the three-week tour was developed by the Chinese Medical Association, and included visits to the medical aid stations of factories and communes, hospitals at all levels in the system, medical schools, and research institutes. Seven cities were visited.

Dr. Stead was an official delegate. He co-wrote the chapter entitled "Pattern of Disease" [pp. 50-68] with Walsh McDermott. Mrs. Stead was one of three wives to accompany her husband on the trip.
