Thoughts and sayings by Dr. Stead (Steadisms) about the art of practicing medicine, the relationship between doctor and patient , students and learning, and medical research. Collected by Fred Schoonmaker and Earl Nelson Metz, with a new dedication by Justine Strand and Reginald Carter.
The note on the enclosed Christmas card reads: "Mother/Daddy, -- In the 1st six months of my internship I have had 138 requests for "Just Say for Me." In addition, many of my charts have contained JAR notes with A: "Just say for me . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . " I am therefore in the process of reprinting the book. Had it not been for one bent plate we would have made it for Christmas. -- Bill" [Bill W. (William Wallace) Stead]
