Interview of George Stevenson by Dr. Reggie Carter. Interview conducted on April 12, 2005. Begins with general biographical information about Stevenson. Dr. Stevenson also talks about recruiting Roger Whittaker to work for him as a surgical assistant and about the Shasta County vs Whittaker court case. Dr. Stevenson was the neurosurgeon who recruited Roger Whittaker as his assistant when he moved to private practice. He was involved with Whittaker in the famous Shasta County vs Whittaker court case (1966) that ruled that non-physicians can assist in extended health care services. |
