Summary |
The information in this report was compiled under the auspices of the American Academy of Family Practitioners (AAFP) Commission on Education, AAFP Division of Education. "The information in this document was compiled in response to a perceived need for information on the education and training of these selected health care providers whose roles may be the focus of attention in an evolving health care delivery system. The respective national accrediting and certifying organizations were contacted and all available relevant topical information has been included in this report. In those instances where information was not available from a national organization, it was obtained from educational institutions, licensing boards and insurance companies primarily in Kansas, Missouri and Washington. Finally, while these health care professionals may be grouped by some as med-level (sic) or ancillary providers, the information provided herein with regard to their education and training makes it clear that they are quite different one-from-the-other." |
